Carolingian Miniscule: the hand Charlemagne commissioned of Alcuin.

Charlemagne  is to France what King Arthur is to Britain which makes him an ideal monarch to be associated with the La Rate Blanche manuscript. His influence is seen in the use of a scriptorial hand that was commissioned by Charlemagne for the purpose of making liturgical and state documents more readily accessible to the public which was one of the accomplishments of the Carolingian Revolution.
